Several
of our players travelled to Windermere for the 3rd Lake District
Championship hosted by Jonathan & Caroline Kaye at the Cedar Manor
Hotel.
The event was won by Ian Hesketh from Edinburgh who beat UK team captain Tim Cross in a closely contested final.
Ian
is a regular visitor to Newcastle events. The best performance by one
of our local players was by Neil Parnaby who reached the semi-final
where he was stopped in his tracks by Ian. Graeme Turner won the
consolation event after beating Pam Wright in the final. Well played
Neil, Graeme & Ian!
