Sixteen players turned up to do battle including several players from outside the region.
Each
player contested five rounds of seven point matches, Swiss format.
After a grueling days play a clear winner emerged with five wins out of
five. Gary Bratton was a worthy winner & Graeme Turner & John
North shared the runners up prize with 4/5.
We
are very grateful to the G Casino who laid on an excellent buffet. I
had to stop two of the poker players from eating the food before we got
the chance!
Our good friend
Zsolt, who organised a succession of weekend events at the casino
between December 2012 & November 2014, presented the prizes and did a
great deal of work behind the scenes to ensure the day went smoothly.
Thank you Zsolt, it is good to be back at the casino.
